The role in a nutshell
As the B2C Marketing Director at UNiDAYS, you will drive the development and execution of our member (student) marketing strategies. You will lead a team of marketing professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive our brand strategy, build our social media presence and create and implement innovative campaigns that both resonate with our student members and drive engagement for our partners.
Day to day responsibilities
Strategy Development and Planning
- Develop and lead the member marketing strategy in alignment with UNiDAYS' overall business objectives.
- Leverage our Insights team to understand the needs and preferences of our audience to tailor marketing approaches effectively.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set clear marketing goals, metrics, and budgets.
Campaign Creation and Execution
- Lead the creation of compelling and impactful marketing campaigns across multiple channels (and multiple markets) to drive awareness, consideration, acquisition and partner engagement.
- With our Commercial teams, help build and execute a B2B2C media proposition across owned and paid media to ensure both UNiDAYS and our partners benefit from media investment
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and representation across all customer touchpoints.
Brand Management and Organic Social Media
- Develop and maintain the brand identity and positioning that resonates with the student audience and aligns with UNiDAYS' values.
- Oversee organic social media strategy and content development, ensuring that the brand's voice and message are consistent and engaging.
- Foster a strong online community, driving conversations and engagement through social media platforms.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead a of team of 3 direct reports and a total team of ~15
- Manage, mentor, and guide the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide coaching, training, and growth opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and career progression.
Analytics and Reporting
- Utilise research, tools and analytics platforms to track key metrics on both brand metrics and campaign performance and how these metrics support our strategy.
- Generate regular reporting, highlighting progress and recommendations.
What we need from you
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital performance marketing campaigns.
- Deep working understanding of marketing technology, particularly ad platforms, publishing tools, analytics, ESPs, CMSs and social media management platforms.
- Extensive experience as a B2C marketing leader, with exposure to the demands of working within a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and managing teams.
- Evidence of building brands through social media, ideally for GenZ brands.
- Familiarity with nuances of marketplaces, media publishing, organic social strategies and partner marketing.
- Fluency in English is required, but French and/or German speakers have a distinct advantage.
- Have gravitas and strategic thinking but be willing to get ‘hands dirty’ in execution.
