Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist - Part-time/Contract (Ogma)

The Opportunity:

At least 10% of children in the UK have a speech, language and communication need (with delays disproportionately affecting disadvantaged children). As language is fundamental for learning and social interaction, the effects of early communication difficulties can extend far beyond childhood, leading to poorer literacy, mental health and employability in adulthood. Early intervention is crucial, however in the current system, children are left waiting months before they can even be assessed. We see an opportunity to use advances in AI, LLM and Conversational AI to disrupt the status quo of speech therapy by driving efficiencies, reducing cost and increasing access. We will deliver a high value, high impact service for less whilst, intrinsically, (i) generating a rare dataset (that currently does not exist) and (ii) self-training its models to provide a unique competitive advantage to be the market leader in AI speech therapy solution.

💪 We are looking for a Part-time/Freelance Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist who will:

Conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and interventions for children with various speech and language disorders. Collaborate with our Founder/CEO and team to identify key indicators for various speech and language disorders. Provide expert insights on effective therapy interventions and strategies for each identified disorder. Gather evidence from the SALT literature and assist in integrating these insights into our AI platform, ensuring a user-centric and data-driven approach. Remain updated on the latest advancements in speech and language therapy, and share this knowledge with our team. Embrace the innovative spirit of a startup, working flexibly and creatively to address challenges and drive progress.

An experienced background in paediatric speech and language therapy. Familiarity with current tools and techniques used in speech and language therapy. A passion for leveraging technology to enhance the efficacy and accessibility of therapy.
