Director of Client Services
Location: Fully remote - must be UK/EU based
Salary: £85-95,000 per annum
We help our clients and partners grow their green financial portfolios through partnerships, training, certification schemes, data products and providing technical assistance that builds their own capacity.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can lead our commercial and revenue generating teams with a cohesive approach that enables our clients and partners to cultivate their green financial portfolios, equipping them to understand risks in the market and the financial instruments available to mobilse capital towards climate action.
We are looking for an experienced commercial leader to add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing marketing efforts. You will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to drive the organisations revenue strategy.
You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and great leadership skills as well as being a creative strategist with excellent organisational abilities.
The goal is to promote and expand the organisation's commercial activity that will generate revenues and lead to sustainable growth.
As a credible member of the Senior Leadership Team you will be responsible for fostering and driving a collaborative performance culture across a matrixed, remote and global organisation, leading your teams to work with and develop new clients to identifying and manage sustainable debt opportunities that ensure client success.
This role will accelerate CBI to achieve its strategic priorities by identifying and defining its commercial value to increase revenue streams and build new partnerships globally. We are looking for someone who has previously worked with financial clients and understands buyer needs. You'll be adapt at building trust and identifying the specific needs of your client base.
The Director of Climate Services manages client relationships and ensures that the board and senior leadership team are informed of market opportunities and business development. On the management side, this role will provide leadership to the Global Climate Services-related activities, being the certification scheme, training and partnership programme. The Director will also conduct market research and analysis to create plans for identifying new commercial opportunities, developing new client relationships, and driving new business that propels our impact.
Requirements
- Demonstrates excellent track record in fund-raising in not-for-profit or finance sector, with experience dealing with funders, donors and philanthropists
- Excellent negotiating skills with the ability to influence others
- Strong commerical acumen with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Ability to manage and oversee large campaigns and projects concurrently.
- Proficient in setting SMART goals and measurable KPI’s linked to organisational strategy
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; ability to communicate confidently both upwards and downwards
- Excellent strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with capacity to see the big picture and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge and experience in environmental issues, climate change, climate finance and sustainability
- Strong relationship management abilities. Ability to relate to people at all levels internally and externally.
- Team leadership abilities with diverse/multi-disciplinary teams. Coaching/mentoring skills
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Proactive, resourceful, solutions oriented and results-oriented
