You’ll work on projects across the full spectrum of our medical and scientific communications, leading publication and communication strategies  for multiple research projects - both in-house and with our academic partners - on menstrual health literacy, sexual health, reproductive ageing, and wearable devices (among others) to showcase the medical and scientific credibility of Flo’s app

  • Proven experience in developing scientific/medical communications or in a professional communications role (e.g. medical writer / Editor / Journalism), working to deliver scientific content across a range of media.
  • Excellent communication skills leading open and honest communications with stakeholders of all levels, being proactive and communicating clearly, confidently and with authenticity.
  • Experience in working in a fast paced, agile environment, with proven organisational management skills to a deadlined schedule.

Nice to have:

  • Experience using project management software such as Jira task tracking.
  • Experience partnering with commercial content teams to assist in communication’s strategy from a Scientific perspective.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Working in close collaboration with Flo’s Science Team, Scientific advisory board, and University collaborators to identify research gaps within Women’s Health in order to develop research publication plans in alignment with Flo’s product strategy.
  • Working with cross-functional teams (Medical, PR, Marketing departments) on developing and implementing Flo's strategic science communication plans in alignment with our publication strategy.
  • Working with the Flo Science Team and Product departments on enhancing scientific and medical credibility of the app for app users (both in the app and on Flo’s website) and for external stakeholders (via social media, magazines, conferences, etc).
  • Preparing high quality materials across a range of medical communications activities, from study protocols, study reports, scientific publications and presentations to marketing-based press-releases, newsletters, and reports.
  • Growing our Scientific advisory board and establishing processes for regular communications and meetings.
  • Keeping up-to-date with scientific findings within Women’s Health research and performing evidence reviews and gap analyses.

Your targets will be:

  • Leading medical writing for scientific publications for projects dedicated to health literacy, sexual health, reproductive ageing etc.
  • Improving scientific credibility of Flo within the app and on external platforms.
  • Increasing scientific visibility of the Science team by participating in conferences and various events, and by promoting Flo scientific activities on social media (Linkedin etc.).
