Role Summary

  • Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse responsible for supporting the Head Nurse in managing the clinic.
  • Managing and guiding a team of nursing staff to uphold Battersea and RCVS standards.
  • Responsible for line management duties for nurses and VCA's.
  • Exploring all levels of supportive care adhering to Battersea's policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with Veterinary Surgeons for treatment decisions.

The role: The Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse is responsible for supporting the Head Nurse in the day-to-day management of the clinic. This includes managing and developing a small team of nursing staff and ensuring all staff work in accordance with the standards and policies set by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and the RCVS Small Animal General Practice Standards Scheme. You will be responsible for line management duties for your team of nurses and VCA's, making decisions on all levels of supportive care within Battersea's policies and procedures, and updating Veterinary Surgeons if additional prescribed treatment is required.

Job requirements: We are looking for people with resilience and adaptability to handle all aspects of this role, which involves a lot of physical tasks required to provide exceptional standards of care to our animals.
