About the Climate Bonds Initiative

The Climate Bonds Initiative is an investor-focused non-for profit working to mobilise the global bond market for climate change solutions. The organisation is leading the development of innovative international climate finance solutions with global stakeholders including governments, investors and NGOs.

Our main work streams are green bond standards and certification, green bond data and market analysis, policy and market development. This includes advocating for investment in projects and assets, like green infrastructure and renewable energy, needed for a rapid transition to a low-carbon and climate resilient economy.

Climate Bonds is looking for two enthusiastic interns to assist China Team and Global teams in research, communications, project coordination, events and workshops.

Role #1. Agriculture Transition Analyst (Internship), China (3-5 months)

Responsibilities & key tasks:

● Work closely with the China team and Brazil Team for research topics for China-Brazil agriculture transition, including sustainable agriculture, agri-food transition, green bond , taxonomy etc.

● Support the delivery of key activities such as expert advisory group, conference and webinar for China-Brazil agriculture transition projects.

●Contribute to the localisation of CBI Agri content, including brochure, standards

The Role 2. China Transition Finance Analyst (Internship) (3-5 months)

Responsibilities & key tasks:

• Work closely with the China team and for Industry transition (Steel, Cement, Power sector etc) research topics.
• Support the delivery of key activities and key deliverables of China programme, assist the logistics of events and webinar.
• Support CBI’s communication works for Wechat, Website and Podcast
• Other ad-hoc tasks within the China team.

Requirements

Role 1:

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Senior Undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduates with university degree in economics, finance, environment, business or relevant subjects.
• Fluency in Chinese and English, excellent written and verbal communication in both languages
• excellent research and analytical skills.
• Passionate about Sustainable Finance, Motivated and Creative
• Flexible and able to multi-task, prioritise and working with agile working practices
• Willingness to take initiative, to be proactive, to contribute and to learn
• Knowledge of agriculture market and regulations in China is a plus.

Role 2:

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of sustainable finance market and regulations is a plus.
• Social media management experience
• Adobe Photoshop, newsletter design, graphic design, video editing skills
