By joining Zinc as our Office and Community Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for nurturing a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that people want to be part of.

Role Overview:

As the Office and Community Coordinator at Zinc, you will be at the heart of creating an energising and welcoming environment that attracts a diverse group of individuals from our wider ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, academics, and investors. Your role is crucial in making Zinc a hub for like-minded individuals to connect, share ideas, and collaborate in a dynamic work and social setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all staff and visitors, assisting with directions, office inquiries, and general support.
  • Manage the daytime cleanliness of the kitchen, meeting rooms and wider office to a reasonable standard, including tidying office clutter, emptying and restocking the dishwasher, collecting mugs from around the office, restocking the coffee as needed.
  • Efficiently manage the office space, including arranging refreshments and catering for various meetings and events.
  • Oversee the management of stock ordering and deliveries, including food supplies and office stationery, ensuring the office is well-stocked and operational.
  • Support the Head of Ecosystem with events planning and coordinating.
  • Undertake a variety of administrative tasks to support the Zinc team and its operations.

Requirements

  • Experienced in facilities management, receptionist roles, events, or office support, with a keen interest in creating and maintaining positive work environments.
  • Flexible and positive in your approach to work, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive problem solver who takes pride in organizing and streamlining workspaces.
  • Highly organised, with exceptional prioritisation and time management skills, and the initiative to take on tasks independently.
  • A confident and friendly individual who thrives in diverse settings and is quick to build rapport and engage with new people.
  • Detail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload effectively.
  • A motivated, hardworking team player, willing to support beyond your day-to-day duties and contribute to the overall success of the office.
