Role Summary

  • As a Health & Safety Manager, you will take charge of our management system, policies, and safety culture.
  • Responsibilities include owning the HS&E System, driving a world-class HS&E culture, obtaining HS&E accreditations, and leading a dedicated HS&E team.

Role Requirements

  • Proven safety delivery experience and a track record of continuous improvement within safety functions are mandatory.
  • Experience in the Electric Vehicle industry, Field Operations, and/or Construction & Design Management (CDM) is advantageous.
  • Senior-level influence, professional standing with Chartered Membership of IOSH or the willingness to obtain it is necessary.

The role: As a Health & Safety Manager at Pod, you will elevate our HS&E leadership across the EV industry, owning the management system, policies, and culture that keep our people safe and our operations compliant. You'll lead a small team with a remit that touches all parts of Pod, working cross-functionally to set standards, reduce risk, and continuously improve how we operate. Your responsibilities will include owning the HS&E Management System and Policies, driving a world-class HS&E culture, ensuring legal compliance, obtaining and maintaining HS&E accreditations, holding and evolving technical standards, ensuring training and competence, identifying and mitigating risks, engaging stakeholders, and leading a high-impact HS&E team.

Job requirements: Proven HS&E delivery and a strong track record of continuous improvement within safety functions are required. Industry experience in Electric Vehicles, Field Operations, and/or Construction & Design Management (CDM) is an advantage. Senior-level influence, professional standing with Chartered Membership of IOSH (or willingness to obtain), and leadership that inspires are also necessary.
