We are on a mission to connect purposeful businesses and their opportunities to local people – and create social value and climate impact in the process. We combine digital and in-person delivery to connect local communities to good work, in growth sectors like green and construction. We work with partners from Local Authorities, Housing Associations and developers, to educators, corporates and business networks.
We’re growing fast, and looking for a Programme Lead (Employability) to join our team. You will be driving forward two of the most ambitious and impactful employment programmes in London. The Role:
As Programme Lead (Employability) you’ll be responsible for two large-scale employability projects in London. You’ll be engaging with local authorities, key employers, suppliers and networks to unlock job opportunities at scale – and working with our local community partners to place candidates. You’ll also be supporting the promotion and scaling of our social value offer and digital solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
• Driving strategic outreach, engagement and business development with key local employers, suppliers and networks at a senior level, to unlock jobs and other opportunities
• Setting up efficient processes and managing the delivery of employability activities, over-achieving against project jobs targets while running the programme resource efficiently
• Managing our network of local community partners and providers to place a pipeline of talented, unemployed local residents into these opportunities
• Undertaking business development, securing profitable partnerships with inclusive employers and social value organisations
• Working directly with GoodPeople’s senior management team to shape organisational delivery strategies – including the delivery of our digital offer
You’ll Need:
• To be purpose driven, and passionate about community, equality and impact. You are passionate about our mission!
• 5+ years’ experience delivering end-to-end recruitment / employability programmes. You are willing and able to turn your hand to delivering all aspects of the recruitment process.
• Exceptional relationship building and business development skills – the ability to identify, approach and secure partnerships with employers
• Experience leading complex programmes resource effectively and delivering above and beyond targets
• Experience working with employers of all sizes (especially in areas such as ESG/CSR, DEI social value, the built environment, or green skills)
• To be proactive, entrepreneurial and a self-starter, comfortable both working independently and as part of a team
• To be adaptable - happiest in fast-moving environments and good at multi-tasking
Benefits:
• Salary of £40,000 - £60,000. We’re looking for a range of possible experience levels for this role, so welcome all applicants.
