Green New Deal Rising is building a movement of young people from every part of the UK to fight for a response to the climate crisis that totally transforms our economy to deliver a safe climate and fairer society. We believe in people power, and through a combination of disrupting the political system and reaching into our communities, we plan to make the Green New Deal an era defining issue.
As we look to 2024, we plan to deliver the largest youth interventions in the next year. We’re looking for someone to manage our dedicated and talented campaigns team to build on our existing work by leading the development and delivery of our campaign strategies. So, we’re now looking for a savvy and driven manager and leader to help us change the agenda and take sustained action to the next election and beyond.
To excel in this role you will be a ‘thinker’ and a ‘doer’ - ready to run at new opportunities that present themselves with a moment's notice as well as crafting thoughtful long-term plans that build power for our movement. You will know the difference between influence and access - taking care that our campaign interventions are constantly building power for our movement and our demands. You will have a creative flair to design actions and interventions which impact our campaign targets and you will be a savvy political operator with a keen political sense and a hunger to get in the news cycle and change the agenda. You’ll be excited to work independently - confident to push forward ideas and make them happen and happy ‘on the ground’ taking action and getting stuck in. You’ll be a leader and a reliable and consistent manager of a number of staff, supporting them to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
