smol's on a mission to change the face of consumer brands and businesses by bringing super effective, eco-friendly products to market at value-for-money prices. We're already the fastest-growing and most positively reviewed brand in the laundry, dishwash and fabric conditoner categories, and this year we made the exciting step into the personal care category.

Reporting into the Head of Innovation, this role will have responsibility for our personal care category.

What does the role involve?

  • Leading on innovation projects, defining and owning the project plan and its delivery on time and in full.
  • Defining and delivering the marketing mix; product, pack, claims, ingredients - all alongside the CMO, Creative Director and Head of Innovation.
  • Working with our suppliers and internal Supply Chain team to source the very best products, at the best price.
  • Participating in developing the innovation pipeline through NPDs and product improvements.
  • Proactively searching for opportunities to improve our products and packaging based on customer feedback or market opportunity.
  • Ownership of the commercial plan, interrogating the numbers to bring the very best, viable mix to market.
  • Developing expertise and deep market knowledge for your part of the portfolio, including working with our insight team.
  • Searching for suppliers and people doing breakthrough work; staying on top of market trends, consumer data, consumer needs and competitor activity.

You will need/be...

  • Ideally 3+ years' experience in UK brand marketing or innovation.
  • Experience in project management - comfortable leading a team of external and internal stakeholders, able to work quickly, smartly and able to pivot as project needs change, all the while leading others to an excellent launch.
  • Must have a really strong B2C experience within FMCG - someone who understands brands and their relationship with consumers
  • Organised and an excellent communicator
  • Curious and externally focused - excited to dig around and find out what's possible, knowing when to stop, be decisive and move on.
  • Ideally you'll have experience in DTC or e-commerce
