Role Summary

  • Support the Lead iOS Developer on the iOS application development.
  • Participate in the full app lifecycle from feature suggestion to release.
  • Ensure app performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with the team to define and design new features.
  • Identify and solve application bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality and organization.

Role Requirements

  • Passionate about creating user-friendly applications.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment and learning new ways of thinking.
  • Hands-on experience developing iOS apps, with a proficiency in Swift 5 and iOS frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and UI development with auto-layout.
  • Understanding of mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and technologies.
  • Desirable: Professional experience in iOS development, knowledge of design patterns (MVP, MVVM, VIPER), computer science degree, Git proficiency, continuous integration, unit testing, and software development best practices.
  • Must have at least one app in the App Store.

Working Policy

  • No visa sponsorship available; candidates must be based within the UK.
  • Hybrid working policy: 2 days in London office, 3 days from home.

What you'll do

The position will be responsible for supporting the Lead iOS Developer to work on the iOS application. You will help to create a reliable application that makes investing simple and enjoyable for users. You will be involved in the whole life cycle from suggesting new features to releasing the application: Design and build applications for the iOS platform Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Collaborate with the wider team to define, design, and ship new features Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs Help maintain code quality and organisation

Experience and skills - essential

Hands on experience developing iOS apps (personal projects or through studies) Experience with Swift 5 and iOS frameworks, can produce clear and tidy source code which is easy to understand and follows familiar design patterns. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services. Experience of developing user interfaces with auto-layout. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies.

Experience and skills - desirable

At least 1 year of professional experience building iOS applications collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and other Software engineers. Experience with modern design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, VIPER etc. Applied knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles. Computer science or related degree. Proficient understanding of Git. Familiarity with continuous integration. Familiarity with unit testing. Applied knowledge of software engineering best practices and software development methodologies. e.g. Scrum. At least one app in the App store.

Working policy

Visa Sponsorship: At this time we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role and we cannot consider overseas applications.

Working Policy: We have a hybrid policy that includes 2 days from our London office and 3 from home. If the role states it is either hybrid or remote candidates must be based within the UK.
