Your role:

We are in business to save our home planet. You’ll be helping us achieve this by acting as the first point of contact for our people on generalist People & Culture matters and coordinating important administrative P&C activities so that we can deliver quality in our services and an excellent employee journey that is aligned with our values.

Main tasks:

P&C Coordination

• Act as the first point of contact throughout the onboarding period to help new employees find their way, communicate all key policies and benefits they need to know, and train them on the People & Culture tools and systems

• Coordinate and oversee all contract changes for office-employees, ensuring timely updates and compliance with local labor laws in collaboration with the People & Culture operations team, and managers to facilitate smooth transitions.

• Coordinate all immigration and relocation processes with external stakeholders and future employees.

• Coordinate as required the collection and communication of payroll, leaves, and benefits data for office-based employees in EMEA to ensure accurate and timely administration.

• Play a key role in further improving and optimizing P&C processes such as onboarding, offboarding, international mobility and internal transitions.

Generalist responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for employee questions on policies, processes, leaves, benefits, etc. and transfer to the right stakeholder where appropriate.

• Manage sickness process for office-based employees; report them sick and better as appropriate and follow up with People & Culture team and support employees and managers on reintegration process in collaboration with the People & Culture Generalist lead.

• In partnership with the People & Culture Generalist lead, advise managers regarding their team questions or concerns, whether policy and procedures, sickness follow up, or employee relations issues for your dedicated population.

• Conduct exit interviews for your dedicated population and analyze the results

• Lead interviews and participate in decision-making with hiring managers on all entry-level positions and intermediate positions as required

• Support People & Culture team in all generalist matters such as JEDI initiatives and actions, performance management and reviews, compensation & benefits cycles, learning and development, etc.

P&C Communication

• Send key communications on behalf of People & Culture team to the organization and keep the SharePoint page up to date with information

• Update, publish, and communicate on People & Culture policies as required

• Assist the People & Culture and office teams in health and safety assessments and communication of protocols, including keeping records of office attendance

Data & Analytics

• Provide planned and ad-hoc required reporting and data analysis on key People & Culture metrics

What we’re looking for:

• An inclusive mindset

• A degree in HR and/or Business

• Demonstrable experience within P&C generalist topics within different European countries

• Attention to details, accuracy, and excellent administrative and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, including the ability to organize, plan, prioritize tasks and adapt to change

• Familiar with employment law concepts

• Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and sensitivity when handling any HR / employee case

• Fluent English, spoken and written

• Excellent computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

It’s a plus if you also have the following:

• Experience in the retail sector

• Knowledge of Workday

• Other spoken languages such as French, Italian and/or German

Other important details:

• This is a full-time position, based in Amsterdam

• We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 days per week
