We’re looking for a superb senior sales executive

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Concierge to join our sales team. In this role, you’ll use your extensive travel sales expertise to craft unforgettable flight-free holiday journeys for your customers and deliver exceptional holiday experiences. You'll be the most senior individual contributor in our team, and as such will be responsible for reviewing and proposing revisions to our processes to help us scale.

Founded in March 2020, we've booked over 5,000 people onto flight-free trips with 97% five star reviews, and regularly appear in mainstream press from the Times to the Guardian. We’re growing 4x year on year, and have no plans to slow down until flight-free travel is mainstream.

Your key responsibilities

  • Prepare delightful bespoke holiday journeys and upgrade opportunities for your customers, having taken the time to uncover their preferences and craft your ideas to suit.
  • Quickly and kindly qualify leads to ensure high quote:sale conversion rates.
  • Provide exceptional service and follow-up, achieving five star reviews and high Net Promoter Scores.
  • Take ownership over the ultimate success of your journeys, arranging custom details yourself and briefing and supporting our Trips team, who run trips.
  • Deepen relationships with customers through regular and creative re-engagement, e.g. proactive emails/calls, in person event invitations.
  • Identify, sell in, and deliver on opportunities to improve conversion and automation across the team, and provide coaching and guidance to others.
  • Collaborate with our marketing, product and trips teams to improve customer experience.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of proven experience in travel sales, including in fast-paced environments, achieving high levels of bookings and customer satisfaction.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly and convincingly communicate your expertise.
  • Experience in leadership, training or mentoring within a sales team.
  • An expert ability to convert sales over video, phone and email.
  • Confidence with CRM and sales automation software, comfort with learning new online systems, and good general technical competency. 
  • Belief in our mission and a passion for sustainability or slow travel.

What would be great (but isn’t required)

  • Flight-free holiday expertise
  • Travel sales experience in an existing Byway region
  • Experience in a tech-focused company, especially experience driving technical innovations or automation to increase conversion and/or customer satisfaction
  • Multilingual capabilities, particularly in European languages

What we offer

  • £35,000 - £39,000 p.a. plus commission, depending on experience - London salary, but work from anywhere

  • 20 days wherever: work when you like and where you like for most of the month - we’ll fund a day a week in a coworking space
  • 2 days together: join our team in the London office two days each month (a couple of exceptions per year is fine!)

  • An annual summer Away Day and optional Weekend Away in spring
