As the Senior MICE Sales Manager at Togather, you will lead our mission to revolutionise the £10 billion UK MICE industry, focusing on the £3.1 billion spent on food and beverage services. Working closely with the Commercial Director, your core objective is to establish Togather as the preferred partner for event catering, particularly with corporate conference organisers and event agencies.
Your role involves identifying strategic opportunities, building industry relationships, nurturing client engagements, and expanding our market presence. You will be instrumental in elevating Togather's position in the MICE sector and setting new standards for event catering services.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a passion for events and a keen understanding of industry dynamics. Together, we will redefine the MICE landscape in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Identify partnership opportunities with corporate conference organisers and event agencies
- Develop strategies to secure exclusive F&B contracts for MICE events, contributing to revenue growth
- Cultivate relationships with industry decision-makers, including agencies and corporate clients
2. Industry Engagement:
- Leverage your extensive network and industry knowledge to position Togather as a go-to partner in the MICE sector
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform our strategy
3. Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with agencies and corporate clients to understand their specific F&B needs for conferences
- Showcase our unique value proposition: expertise in F&B services to complement their event planning efforts
4. Market Expansion:
- Travel across the UK to establish Togather's presence and reputation within the MICE industry
- Attend conferences and events to network with potential clients and partners
Requirements
- Sales Experience: Demonstrated experience in senior sales roles with a strong track record of success
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the MICE industry, including its dynamics, trends, and challenges
- Event Expertise: Specific experience in the event industry, including knowledge of event planning and execution
- Networking Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including agencies and corporate clients
- Sales Drive: Innate sales acumen, with a history of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and approachability to effectively address the unique needs of clients in the MICE sector
