Role Summary

Role Requirements
- Demonstrated analytical prowess and statistical analysis skills.
- Strong business acumen, preferably with SaaS/EdTech experience.
- Proficiency in forecasting tools and software.

We’re looking for an experienced forecasting analyst to build us a data-driven forecasting model for our Business to Customer (B2C) sales for the next 3 - 5 years. We’re looking for someone with an impressive track record of building accurate sales forecasting models, who is highly analytical and can work to quickly understand our business sales cycle.

What you’ll do
- Quickly work to understand our sales cycle, target market, penetration levels, the products we sell and how we sell them.
- Analyze historical trends to determine a data-driven approach to forecasting through our next 3 - 5 financial years
- Collaborate with our data, finance and marketing teams to ensure you have as much breadth of understanding about the product/sales cycle/what needs to be incorporated in to the forecasting model
- Understand new products we are looking to launch over the next 3-5 years and ensure they are included within the forecasting model
- Build a forecasting model, which can be updated, interpreted and adjusted by our finance and data teams
Requirements

- Analytical Skills: You have the ability to analyse historical data, market trends, and industry benchmarks. You are proficient in statistical analysis and able to apply different forecasting methods (like time series analysis, regression models, etc.) as appropriate.
- Business Acumen: You understand a SaaS business model, and ideally have experience in EdTech.
- Experience with Forecasting Tools: You are proficient in forecasting software and tools.
- Market Research: You have skills in conducting and analysing market research to understand the potential market size, competition, and market share, which will all feed into the sales forecast.
- Attention to Detail: You work precisely and pay attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: You must be able to clearly articulate the assumptions behind your forecast, explain the methodology, and therefore how the forecasts can be maintained and updated once the work is complete.
- Critical Thinking: You are able to critically evaluate data sources, challenge assumptions, and anticipate potential market changes that could affect sales.
- Collaboration: You’ll need to work closely with various teams within the company, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to gather insights and validate assumptions.
- Project Management: You have the ability to manage the entire forecasting project, from initial data gathering to final presentation, efficiently and within set deadlines.
- Track Record: You have successful experience in developing sales forecasts for other companies, especially within the same or similar industries.
