Role Summary - As a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor, you will:

  • Work with operational teams to assess the wellbeing of dogs.
  • Provide behavioural training and advice to staff, volunteers and external organisations.
  • Carry out practical dog training programmes.
  • Handle difficult dogs and provide hands-on support.


Role Requirements - The role requires candidates who:

  • Are proficient in canine behavior and training.
  • Have experience in a rescue environment (desirable).
  • Can handle difficult dogs and provide training support.
  • Are self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.

The Role: In this role as a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor, you will work closely with our operational teams to assess and support the welfare of the dogs in our care. You will also provide behavioural training and guidance to staff, volunteers, customers, and external organisations. The successful candidate will be confident in handling difficult dogs, self-motivated, and possess excellent interpersonal and consultative skills. Proficiency in carrying out training programmes with dogs and providing practical hands-on support to others is essential. Experience working in a rescue environment is highly desirable.
