About RecipeKick:

RecipeKick, an Okay, Perfect brand, is a live-streamed, mostly recipe-free cooking platform reigniting the love affair between home cooks and their kitchens. The RecipeKick platform boasts 1,000+ members (and growing daily!) and 15,000+ minutes of quality content. Our on-air talent lead livestreams where students learn foundational techniques, flavors and principles, not rigid steps. We call it the Courageous Cooking Method and it’s all about embracing what’s seasonal and abundant, whether from the farmer’s market or your fridge. This approach helps cooks gain skills and the freedom to trust their intuition. 

About the role:

The role of the Social Media Manager/ Content Creator, shapes our narrative, amplifies our presence, and weaves captivating stories across platforms. The goal? To craft and execute a killer social media strategy, connect with our growing audience, whip up compelling brand content, boost brand awareness and expand our reach–significantly growing our community.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

Strategic Social Media Ownership:

  • Lead end-to-end ownership of launching, building, and growing our social channels.
  • Collaborate with our executive team to define a cohesive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals, resonating with our audience, and reflecting our brand.

Content Creation and Curation

  • Design, create, and manage high-quality, engaging content tailored to each platform's unique audience.With a specific emphasis on creating food and cooking related content. 
  • Develop compelling short videos for various social media platforms, incorporating voiceovers, B-roll, and creative assets to maximize viewer engagement.
  • Curate and repurpose existing assets, such as livestream video recordings, blog posts, images, b-roll, etc. while creating social-first content, including campaigns.

Audience Engagement and Growth

  • Actively engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and encouraging discussions around our offerings and industry.
  • Analyze and report on performance metrics regularly, adapting strategies based on impact, including reach, engagement, and audience growth.

Trendspotting and Knowledge Sharing

  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends and best practices, sharing insights with the executive team for strategic leverage.
  • Serve as the eyes and ears of emerging trends within the community and industry.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Work closely with the executive team to align social media content with broader company initiatives.
  • Maintain a social content calendar, ensuring a consistent posting schedule and timely responses to industry events and trends.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Social Media Mastery: Proven track record of creating viral content and growing social media audiences, with a minimum of 4 years of end-to-end channel ownership.

Video Creation Expertise: Proficiency in scripting, shooting, and editing, specifically emphasizing food-related and cooking content.

Passion for Food and Cooking: Genuine love and proficiency in creating engaging food-related and cooking content, showcasing creativity and innovation.

Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong understanding of social media analytics, with the ability to adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.

Industry Savvy: Stay updated with trends in the food and cooking space within the broader context of social media.

Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a creative mind and storytelling passion.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in english.

Innovative Social Enthusiast: Expertise in building and growing audiences, particularly in food-related content, showcasing creativity and enthusiasm.

Collaborative Community Builder: Appreciation for collaboration, valuing input and feedback, with a genuine passion for community building and the creator ecosystem.

Benefits and compensation:

  • Full-time, flexible schedule. Some overlap with Central European Time Zone preferred.
  • Salary range starts at $50,000 per year for US applicants and €40,000 for EU applicants. Negotiable for those in other parts of the world. Salary increases are directly tied to performance. Grow our accounts quickly? See increases quickly! (within our company wide salary bands for this role).
  • Fully remote work with the exception of 4-6 trips a year to Provence, France (accommodations and airfare provided).
