About the challenge
As a Business Development Manager you'll be the sharp tip of the spear when it
comes to socialising our brand to new customers. Weʼre looking for someone whoʼs
hungry for success and keen to develop their skills into owning the full sales cycle for
an entire vertical. You'll need to convert MQLs that are generated by our marketing
teams, scour our CRM for potential interest and use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to open
up new lines of interest. There will also be some administrative support to keep our
CRM clean and support in procurement processes and bids as well as ad hoc
requirements and requests from the team. You are a motivated and ambitious seller
with innate curiosity and youʼre able to apply a growth mindset to your work.
You'll work closely with our sales team to crack open target accounts and develop
our network in key accounts too. You are an asset to our marketing team too so some
experience using HubSpot CMS is a plus.
Objectives
Source new business revenue from our VAM strategic account lists- Engage with our CRM to nurture existing connections and interests
- Manage all accounts and engagements with below £10k in annual revenue
Activities
Build and execute on strategic account plans with VAMs + SADs- Maximise our investment in LinkedIn and document successes
- Own HubSpot cleanliness KPIs and support in contact purges
- Attend industry events and support account marketing campaigns
- Carve out time for learning development and shadow VAMs in calls
- Build and send out quotes or proposals to support our sellers
- Create your own pipeline and manage sub-£10k deals end to end
Collaborations
You'll be lock step with VAMs to support their client acquisition strategies- Support in quote and proposal building as well as maintaining cadence
- Support marketing in HubSpot maintenance and upgrades
- Support logistics and communications for key projects in the team
Essential
1+ year in a commercial role of any kind - passion for sales- Experience engaging new clients in conversation and booking meetings
- Fast learner with examples of overcoming knowledge gaps
- Examples of times you've successfully commercial acumen
- Independently motivated with a growth mindset
- High level of written and verbal English
Preferred
Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator- Competent using G-suite, HubSpot and Slack
- Comfortable with adhering to DACI/RACI for role clarity
