Role Overview:

As Senior Marketing Manager at Tech Nation, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and implementing cutting-edge marketing and digital engagement strategies for this recently relaunched brand. Your key role will involve seamless collaboration with Tech Nation’s Product Owners, sharing ownership of our exciting initiatives for 2024 and beyond, and owning marketing activities from social media, email, and PPC, to communications, PR, and data management (CRM). Embark on a journey with us, where your skills and passion will make a lasting impact on the tech industry – both in the UK and internationally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, implement, and optimise Tech Nation’s marketing strategy and operations to support TN growth programmes, the UK’s Global Talent Visa, our Research & Insights department, and expansion of the brand into new markets internationally (Asia, Middle East, US) as well as existing gaps in the UK market (founders developing innovations for those with disabilities, for example). 
  • Oversee Tech Nation’s Campaign Marketing Executive’s product marketing output and content calendar, ensuring optimisation across social media, content, product, PR and communications, SEO, website maintenance and lead generation.
  • Champion the Tech Nation brand, preserving its robust brand equity in the UK and leveraging this to build brand presence in emerging markets.
  • Hone strategic approach to sponsor acquisition and increase lead qualification across our growth programmes and the Global Talent Visa programme.
  • Collaborate with our Partnerships teams to develop and execute impactful sponsorship marketing campaigns.
  • Scope and build impactful media partnerships with relevant press outlets for the benefit of Tech Nation programme participants and alumni.
  • Develop responsive strategies to increase website traffic and improve qualified lead rate across gated content and the TN website.
  • Own and implement Tech Nation’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Plan and implement email marketing campaigns and oversee regular distribution of the Tech Nation email newsletter.
  • Continue to develop the relaunched Tech Nation brand identity as we expand with new programmes and initiatives.
  • Lead event marketing including branded collateral, branded experiences, onsite capture (photography & videography), live social media coverage, event communications, and registration processes.
  • Track campaign progress against KPIs and provide actionable insights for ongoing optimisation.
  • Assist in organising and executing events, such as investor meet-ups and Tech Nation alumni gatherings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of campaign marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering on marketing KPIs and growing audiences.
  • Strong social media marketing experience across various platforms.
  • Robust email marketing experience – Mail Chimp and Pardot experience preferred.
  • Experience managing a website via a CMS like WordPress.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Robust experience with, and knowledge of SEO, SEM, and Google Analytics.
  • Great copy writing skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multi-functional teams.
  • Startup mentality with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Active interest in tech, startups, and entrepreneurship.
