About the Role
Are you an Insurance Product Manager ready to embark on a thrilling journey with Bikmo? We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team. As a pivotal figure in our organisation, you'll play a key role in launching cutting-edge insurance products specially crafted for the vibrant world of cycling.
Your mission: lead the charge in product development, management, and foster strong relationships with our insurance partners in the UK and Europe.
How you will contribute
- Pioneer Cyclist-Centric Insurance Products:
- Spearheading the setup and launch of innovative insurance products tailored exclusively for the cycling community.
- Collaborate seamlessly with external providers, steering successful product delivery that resonates with cyclists.
- Cycle-Inspired Product Enhancement:
- Immerse yourself in the cycling community, conducting research to identify opportunities for product enhancements and exciting new projects.
- Skillfully understand, review, and suggest changes to product wordings, schedules, and insurance documents, ensuring they protect the world’s riders
- Prioritise and advance product improvements that not only resonate with cyclists but also contribute to revenue growth, in pursuit of the Bikmo mission.
- Metric Mastery and Collaboration:
- Create, develop, monitor, and share performance metrics, including loss performance and retention, showcasing your analytical prowess.
- Cooperate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and optimise product performance on the cycling stage.
- Customer-Centric Compliance:
- Consider the impacts on our cycling customers in your role, ensuring compliance with the Consumer Duty and the three cross-cutting rules: act in good faith, avoid foreseeable harm, and enable and support retail customers in pursuing their financial objectives.
- Take an active role in supporting and developing Bikmo’s product governance process, ensuring our products align with the highest standards.
- Embody the Bikmo values and ethos in all aspects of your work, becoming a true ambassador for our brand.
Your approach to work
You will be a self-directed person who can manage your own time and can collaborate with people who have different working styles in different time zones. What we are looking for;
- Proven Insurance Product Management Experience, with 2+ years of successful experience in launching and managing insurance products.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to navigate independently through the twists and turns of product development.
- Excellent written communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analyse product performance
- Ability to travel internationally once a quarter, embracing the global journey of cycling insurance.
- Passion for pushing boundaries and creating innovative solutions.
- It would be wonderful if you live near either of our offices in Chester (UK) or Innsbruck (AT), however we would consider applications from people living in the UK, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Belgium or France.
- You must live within a European or UK timezone
Bonus Experience / Qualifications:
- A passion for cycling or other sports, bringing an authentic connection to the heart of our products.
- CII qualification or equivalent, demonstrating your commitment to excellence.
- Fluent in English; fluency in German, French, or Dutch would be a pedal-powered benefit.
