The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation dedicated to improving health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease, and climate and health. These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.
As a Workplace Equity Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing equity across Wellcome and its partners by shaping strategy, advising on policy, and driving initiatives aligned with our Equity Framework. You’ll lead and help deploy strategic initiatives to embed Workplace Equity across Wellcome and its partners—collaborating with internal teams and external organisations, offering expert advice, managing cross-cutting projects, and using data and insight to shape inclusive policies and practices.
If you have a proven track record in fostering workplace equity, managing Staff Networks/ERGs to enhance inclusivity, and driving meaningful change within science and health research contexts, this job offers a chance to align with Wellcome's mission and contribute to key strategic priorities. Experience partnering to deliver activities that help drive Workplace Equity; committed to developing and co-creating meaningful change in collaboration with others. A strong knowledge of both the principles and practical application of workplace equity, including an awareness and knowledge of best institutional practices, policies, key topics and relevant EDI legislation and frameworks. Data literate; experienced analysing diverse sources of data and insight to provide the evidence base for Workplace Equity gaps and interventions.
We offer excellent benefits and help our employees to develop in an open, respectful culture where differences are valued.
