At Beam, you get to do work that really matters. We’re solving the world’s toughest social problems. And we’re growing fast 🚀
It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. But we take care of everyone who works here with everything from coaching to personal budgets and highly competitive salaries.
You’ll be joining a company that’s having a huge impact on people’s lives with a culture where you can be yourself, have fun and progress rapidly.
The Role
Beam supports homeless people, refugees and prison leavers to access stable employment and their own homes. Our work is only possible because of our partnerships with Local Government, who commission Beam to support local communities and ultimately save taxpayer funds.
In this role you will be the technical expert building the models which demonstrate taxpayer returns. You’ll build bespoke financial business cases and work with Sales and Customer Success to present simple, easy to understand models to partners.
You’ll partner closely with leadership across the business to ensure we always have an accurate forecast of revenue and hiring needs, lead on strategic analysis and make recommendations for future expansion and improvement.
Beam has never been needed more, and we have a huge opportunity to work with Local Government partners to change how welfare services are delivered for millions of people.
You’ll be:
Building data-driven business cases - you’ll build compelling business cases for prospective and current government partners which demonstrate the impact of Beam
Meeting external partners - join meetings and calls with both prospective and current customers to explain how our partnerships are delivering taxpayer savings
Turning data into actionable insights - proactive and intellectually curious, you’ll enjoy digging into problems to produce simple insights with actionable recommendations
Building new tools which enable the team - you’ll continually build and iterate tools - everything from sales dashboards to pricing calculators, new business forecasts to hiring models - and work with other leaders to embed them into team processes
Supercharging how we work - you’re always looking for innovative ways to level up what we do, improve processes and bring data driven decision making
You are:
Highly analytical with strong quantitative analysis skills- you’re comfortable modelling in MS excel / gSheets, and a strong plus if you have experience with SQL
Confident presenting data - you can build a simple, clear narrative from often ambiguous and complex data and present it clearly to a range of audiences
A natural relationship builder - you won’t be leading sales, but as the technical expert you will regularly join meetings, quickly building rapport and trust with new stakeholders
Results driven - you thrive working towards big targets and relish the opportunity to take on new challenges
Energised by a busy and dynamic working environment - this role is varied, and you’ll get energy from moving between different projects at pace
Success looks like
Partners are confident in Beams financial impact - partners can clearly see the impact of working with Beam from your detailed analysis and compelling business cases
We’re making strong data driven decisions - your insights, research and analysis are unlocking new ways Beam can grow our partnerships
We’re running a tight ship - we have a simple and accurate view of the sales pipeline, forecasted revenue and hiring requirements.
We always improving - you’ve proactively identified ways we can improve processes, refined our understanding of the pipeline and worked with others to action change
