Role Summary

  • Analyze vast frontend user events to derive insights that influence product strategy.
  • Collaborate with product teams to guide product development with data-driven decisions.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a consumer-focused team.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Experience in a tech startup/scale-up environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets to produce actionable insights.
  • Experience with Python, dbt, and git is a bonus.

We are looking for a Product Analyst to join our Analytics Chapter and Customer Tribe.

We record over tens of millions frontend users events a day. We need you to help us make sense of it and deliver insights that will help drive our product strategy helping us become the definitive fashion shopping destination. 

As a Product Analyst you will help guide decisions of what to build for our millions of customers. Product analysts are embedded within product teams and drive impact through influencing the product development life-cycle.

You will report to the Director of Analytics and work closely with Product Directors, Engineers and Analytics Engineers. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate metrics to measure progress towards our product strategy. Establish performance reports to relevant teams and executives
  • Provide insights and identify trends in user behaviour and product usage to increase customer retention and lifetime value
  • Partner with the central analytics team to design and validate experimentation results
  • Support the data specification of events and properties we collect across our product surfaces. Partner with Analytics & Data Engineers to implement testing and data validation

Our stack includes; AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Python and R.

Requirements

  • 2+ years working within a consumer-focused team
  • Professional experience using an advanced level of SQL to manipulate large data sets (transactions, complex joins, CTEs, window functions)
  • Proficiency with Looker or data visualization tools and solid stats fundamentals (A|B testing, regression) are a plus
  • Experience working in a tech startup/scale-up environment, comfortable with changing environment
  • A great communicator, comfortable working directly with engineers, product teams,  and marketing teams
  • Experience in reviewing large, complex data sets and producing clear actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise problems in order to focus on the biggest issues
  • A keen desire to be part of the Lyst culture - a team player focused on impact
  • Python, dbt and git experience would be a great bonus
