Role Summary

  • Provide essential HR and payroll support daily, contributing to learning, development, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Support the Senior HR Business Partner and aid in enhancing employee experience and people-focused initiative development.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in a basic HR role such as Officer, Coordinator, or Administrator.
  • Strong grasp of core HR procedures and experience in supporting or exposure to payroll processes.
  • Organisational and communication skills, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Desirable qualifications include CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, experience in a charity or social enterprise, exposure to L&D coordination or training administration, and a dedicated commitment to social impact and inclusivity.

Since our inception in 2015 from a small cart in Covent Garden, we have expanded internationally and won multiple awards. Our operations span across four countries, funding essential services like barista training, living-wage employment, therapy, housing guidance, and long-term career pathways. The Role: As the People & Culture Officer at Change Please, you will provide essential day-to-day HR and payroll support, contribute to learning, development, and inclusion initiatives, and support the Senior HR Business Partner. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth HR operations, enhancing employee experience, and developing people-focused initiatives. It is suited for individuals at Level 5 or equivalent, aiming to advance within a purpose-led organization and seeking broad exposure across HR, L&D, and ED&I.

Job Requirements: - Experience in a junior HR role such as Officer, Coordinator, or Administrator. - Good understanding of core HR processes and experience supporting or exposure to payroll processes. - Strong organizational and communication skills, empathy, and professionalism. - Desirable qualifications include CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, experience in a charity or social enterprise, exposure to L&D coordination or training administration, and a strong commitment to social impact and inclusion.

Benefits: - Salary range: 30,784 - 34,000 per annum (FTE). - Contract type: Permanent. - Working hours: 28 hours per week, primarily in-person, based in our Peckham office with flexibility depending on operational needs.
