Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years in business development or client-facing roles
  • Degree in ESG, environmental science, or climate science
  • Demonstrable network within corporate and sustainability sectors
  • Experience in enterprise selling with complex sales cycles
  • Knowledge of ESG, carbon accounting, or sustainability software/SaaS solutions
  • Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment

The Role As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will own your territory and pipeline, working closely with Marketing to generate and close ARR above £400K. You will operate in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment and make high-quality decisions quickly. Your responsibilities will include implementing best-in-class sales processes, maintaining CRM hygiene, and forecasting accurately. You will also develop new markets or territories while upholding company values and collaborating across teams.

Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ESG, environmental science, or climate science, with at least 5+ years of experience in business development and/or client-facing roles. You should have a demonstrable network within corporate and sustainability sectors, with a motivation for relationship building and new business hunting. Experience selling into enterprise or corporate accounts with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles is essential. Familiarity with ESG, carbon accounting, or sustainability software/SaaS solutions is required. A proven ability to build and manage a pipeline from prospecting through to close is crucial. Comfort working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment with a degree of autonomy is also necessary.
