As a Public Affairs Officer, you will play a crucial role in bringing the challenges and experiences of children from some of the poorest areas in the country to the attention of policymakers in Westminster. This will aid in securing the necessary support for schools to provide a fair education for all.

The role: This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) basis. You will be responsible for monitoring the political, policy, and sector landscape, identifying political opportunities, assessing risks, and providing sound advice on response strategies. Your tasks will include writing briefings, consultation responses, and content for our website and social media platforms.

Job requirements: We are looking for someone with good political instincts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate information clearly and quickly, both verbally and in writing. Experience in a similar role is essential.

Benefits: Teach First offers a competitive salary package of £31,510.25, which includes a £3,000 London Weighting Allowance for employees based in London.
