Role Summary

  • Produce creative ads and content for social channels like Meta, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Collaborate with the EU design team and UK Creative Director.
  • Utilize After Effects for animation and stay up-to-date with social media trends.
  • Participate in front of the camera or in voiceovers.

Role Requirements

  • Native French speaker with professional-level English.
  • Able to generate ideas and execute content plans with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, photography, videography, and editing.
  • Experience in sound capture, lighting, and shoot styling.
  • Team player and self-motivated with a creative mindset.

In Summary...

smol is looking for a creative, self initiating and motivated French content creator and video editor to join our growing in-house creative team.You’ll be working with our EU design team and UK-based Creative Director and videography team to create both organic and paid social content for our new French channels including Meta, Youtube and TikTok as we expand into France this year.

The ideal candidate will be a native French speaker living in France, as we want maximum authenticity for our new French audience, but professional-level English is a must. 


What does the role involve?...

Planning, filming and editing regular ads (4-5 per week for Meta and Tiktok).

Planning, filming and editing content for our organic social channels. YouTube and website. 

Animation using After Effects.

Idea generation - coming up with creative ideas and taking away briefs from our Creative Director and Head of Performance Marketing.

Keeping an eye on trends on TikTok and other social platforms to inform our creative team and direction.

Appearing in front of camera / recording voiceover for videos.

You will need/be...

A native French speaker with professional-level English. English is smol's business language but we need a native French speaker who can authentically connect with this new audience and customer base

Loads of creativity- full of ideas for fresh content!

Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud software but equally comfortable editing in-app.

Excellent photography, videography and editing skills - happy using both mobile and larger format cameras.

Experience with capturing sound and lighting and styling shoots.

Strong organisational skills - able to plan and execute a shoot. 

A team player - you’ll be working closely alongside our existing creative team as well as other people across the business

Self motivated - you’ll be part of a lovely team and wider company but will be one of our first French hires.
