Role Summary
- Strategize and create a comprehensive CRM strategy to improve customer journeys.

Role Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in a senior CRM or lifecycle marketing role, preferably in a dynamic startup environment.
- Expertise in email marketing, segmentation, personalization, and automation.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Customer.io, and analytical tools such as MixPanel or Google Analytics.
- Quick, data-driven decision-making skills and a commitment to using key performance metrics.
- Creative mindset with a high standard for campaign quality and design.

As Head of CRM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our CRM strategy for a major product pivot. This greenfield project offers the unique opportunity to build our CRM strategy from the ground up, with a focus on leveraging customer.io to drive adoption, engagement, loyalty, and value across our user base. You’ll be working with a Junior CRM Manager to help implement and execute this work.
What you'll be doing as our Head of CRM at Peppy:
Strategy Development: Develop and then build a comprehensive CRM strategy that covers all stages of the customer journey. Lifecycle Management: Oversee the customer lifecycle to enhance engagement, reduce churn, and foster long-term loyalty. Design and implement targeted campaigns that address different stages of the customer journey, from onboarding to advocacy. Data: Utilise analytics and customer data to inform strategies, making data-driven decisions to optimise campaign performance and user experience. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a cohesive user experience. Lead and grow the CRM team, including the recruitment and mentorship of a Junior CRM Manager. Innovation and Testing: Implement a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, rigorously testing campaigns across channels (email, push, in-app messages, SMS) to refine and perfect our communication strategy. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with CRM and marketing technology vendors, ensuring we leverage their platforms effectively and stay ahead of emerging capabilities.Our dream Head of CRM looks something like:
Experienced Leader: Proven track record in CRM or lifecycle marketing, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior role, ideally within a fast paced startup or scale-up environment. Email Marketing Expertise: Exceptional knowledge of email marketing strategies and tactics, with a strong understanding of segmentation, personalisation, and automation. Technically Savvy: Hands-on experience with a variety of CRM platforms (ideally including Customer.io), and proficiency in analytics tools like MixPanel or Google Analytics. Knowledge of HTML for email is a plus. Data-Oriented: Ability to make quick, data-driven decisions and a commitment to measuring performance through key metrics. Creative Thinker: A keen eye for design and a high standard for the visual and content quality of campaigns. Agile and Adaptive: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Able to launch and iterate on campaigns quickly to learn and adapt. Team Builder: Skilled at building and leading high-performing teams, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.Daily Rate:
We're looking to make this hire on a 6 months contract initially, with a rate of between £500-£600/day dependent on experience.
