  • Role Summary:
    • As the Senior Research Manager in Epidemics & Epidemiology, your focus will be on shaping Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) research.
    • You will shape workplans strategically, ensure delivery of outcomes within our Infectious Disease strategy, and manage significant research projects.
    • Your role will also involve making essential scientific assessments and making recommendations to senior management.
    • You'll work closely with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, to advance our goals.

    • We're looking for candidates with expertise in infectious disease epidemiology, epidemics, and AMR from academic, industrial, funding agency, or charity settings.
    • Proven experience in managing substantial projects and knowledge of international research funding is necessary.

The role: As a Senior Research Manager in Epidemics & Epidemiology, you will play a crucial role in shaping and advancing the epidemiology of infectious diseases, particularly focusing on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). You will lead the development and implementation of strategic workplans, ensuring the delivery of outcomes for the AMR strategic area within our Infectious Disease strategy. This includes managing large and complex projects, making critical scientific assessments, and providing recommendations to senior management. Your leadership will extend to engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to advance our goals.

Job requirements: Candidates should demonstrate extensive expertise in infectious disease epidemiology, epidemics, and AMR, gained through work in academic, industrial, funding agency, or charity settings. Experience in managing large projects and knowledge of the international research funding arena are essential. You should be adept at shaping and delivering science-related programs in low-resource settings and have a strong understanding of relevant scientific and research communities.
