Role Summary

  • Participate in the Legatics Transition Project Team for data migration.
  • Export data from the legacy Legatics 1 platform.
  • Set up and import data into the live Legatics 2 platform.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through verification and updates.
  • Monitor progress and report to the Transition Project Team.
  • Record time for data migration processes.
  • Uphold strict data confidentiality standards.

The role
We are looking for a data/content migration assistant to help with the manual migration of data sets (matters) from between the legacy and live Legatics platforms.

This role is being offered on a temporary basis for three months.

What you would be doing:

As part of the Legatics Transition Project Team, this role involves:

  • Working from an identified data set/matters, exporting data from the legacy platform, Legatics 1
  • Setting up new data sets/matters on Legatics 2 (the live platform)
  • Importing specific data sets/matters into Legatics 2 (this includes files, rows and lists)
  • Verifying and updating data
  • Tracking progress and reporting back to the Transition Project Team
  • Time recording how long specific processes take (so we can scope out and estimate further data migrations)
  • Maintaining data confidentiality and by keeping sensitive information confidential. Compulsory information security training will be provided.

Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and preservation and spot inaccuracies
  • Integrity to uphold the confidentiality and security of sensitive data, instilling trust and maintaining customer confidence. You must adhere to data confidentiality principles and follow company policies on data security. 
  • Efficient time management skills to prioritise tasks and complete work within established deadlines.
  • The data migration assistant should be adaptable, able to handle changing priorities and work demands effectively.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with team members .
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills to identify and rectify any errors in data entry, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the information.

Bonus points for the following (but don’t worry, these are not essential):

● Experience working with data entry or  data migration projects/systems

● Experience with content management systems and databases

● Exposure to legal practice, law firms or lawyers (for example, through an internship)
