Role Summary

  • Collaborate with the Lead iOS Developer to enhance the iOS application.
  • Engage in the app's lifecycle from concept to release, focusing on user-friendly investment experiences.
  • Ensure application performance and quality while responding to feedback and iterating on features.
  • Work within a dynamic team to define, design, and roll out new app functionalities.
  • Address performance issues and bugs to maintain a smooth app experience.
  • Uphold high standards for code quality and organization.

Role Requirements

  • Hands-on iOS app development experience, including personal or academic projects.
  • Proficiency with Swift 5, iOS frameworks, and RESTful API integration.
  • Design and UI development skills with auto-layout expertise.
  • Familiarity with mobile architecture, trends, and technologies.
  • Professional iOS development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of modern design patterns like MVP, MVVM, and VIPER is desirable.
  • A background in computer science or a related field is advantageous.
  • Git proficiency and familiarity with continuous integration and unit testing are beneficial.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices and methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Having an app published in the App Store is a bonus.

Working Policy

  • We offer a hybrid work policy with 2 days in our London office and 3 days from home.
  • Applicants must be based within the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.

What you'll do

The position will be responsible for supporting the Lead iOS Developer to work on the iOS application. You will help to create a reliable application that makes investing simple and enjoyable for users. You will be involved in the whole life cycle from suggesting new features to releasing the application: Design and build applications for the iOS platform Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Collaborate with the wider team to define, design, and ship new features Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs Help maintain code quality and organisation

Experience and skills - essential

Hands on experience developing iOS apps (personal projects or through studies) Experience with Swift 5 and iOS frameworks, can produce clear and tidy source code which is easy to understand and follows familiar design patterns. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services. Experience of developing user interfaces with auto-layout. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies.

Experience and skills - desirable

At least 1 year of professional experience building iOS applications collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and other Software engineers. Experience with modern design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, VIPER etc. Applied knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles. Computer science or related degree. Proficient understanding of Git. Familiarity with continuous integration. Familiarity with unit testing. Applied knowledge of software engineering best practices and software development methodologies. e.g. Scrum. At least one app in the App store.
