Role Summary
- Set the strategic social responsibility direction for EMEA, focusing on impactful child-centered community engagement.
- Develop a 3+ year social impact roadmap, with a special focus on key countries including the UK, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team across EMEA to deliver innovative and impactful social programs.
- Strengthen partnerships and align national plans with the company’s social responsibility strategy and local needs.
- Collaborate across teams to increase efficiency and scalability of social responsibility initiatives.

Role Requirements
- A degree in social impact work or related field.
- Extensive experience in social responsibility within a national or global company.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including distance leadership.
- A passion for community service, children's welfare, play, and empowering people.
- Experience in developing social programs and managing partnerships within Europe.
- Strong strategic development and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 25 days/year.

Core Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Social Responsibility (SR), this role is critical to setting the strategic direction for EMEA. This role will also implement a holistic social impact portfolio in line with our SR aspiration and overarching strategy – to help the LEGO Group become a global force for learning through play!
You will play a key role in guiding and driving the EMEA region to become a socially transformative business, including initiating key partner engagements, and contributing with local insights.
A successful EMEA portfolio will be balanced and consist of global programs, adjusted to fit local contexts, and country-specific partnerships and programs that will create shared value by meeting local needs, using community assets and aligning with business priorities.
Focus areas include:
- Develop and lead the execution of 3+ year roadmap for EMEA, with a particular focus on UK, Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany, to deliver on our aspiration and strategy, to drive alignments across the company, including commonalities with internal brand teams, the LEGO Foundation, LEGO Education, and the full LEGO Ecosystem. The roadmap will also include an internal focus to educate and engage employees into playful action at work, home and within our communities via volunteering
- Lead the EMEA team (10 people), based in Billund in Denmark, London in UK, Munich in Germany, Kladno in Czech Republic and Nyiregyhaza in Hungary to continue to develop and strengthen the team.
- In Denmark, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany and the United Kingdom, you will lead the local Social Responsibility team to ensure the national plans are aligned with Social Responsibility aspiration and strategy, local needs assessment and business priorities and implement innovative ways to deliver impactful social programmes with our partners for children, while growing volunteering opportunities to galvanize our passionate workforce in playful action
- In remaining EMEA markets, lead a social responsibility colleague based out of Billund supporting local teams to increase alignment with SR aspiration, strategy and global focus and galvanize employees into playful action at work, home and in the community via volunteering
- Working across the SR team in a matrix-like organisation, increase collaboration and identify scalability across EMEA markets; work with Global Teams to ensure national plans roll-out global programmes adapted to national contexts, drawing on takeaways from other regions with the view of getting to scale faster and; deliver on Social Responsibility Theory of Change and MEL frameworks

Do you have what it takes?
- The ideal candidate holds a degree within social impact work or similar
- Extensive social impact, social responsibility, or corporate responsibility experience in a national or global company, with good understanding of how social sustainability can add business value
- Demonstrated people leadership experience with distance leadership experience preferred
- Passion for communities, children, play, and people
- Proven experience developing impactful social programming and partnerships, preferably within the European context
- Proven experience managing high stakes partnerships and complex internal and external partners
- Proven strategy development experience with strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive and demonstrated ability to use an outside in perspective – designing programs and strategies based on high level objectives
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Domestic and international travel up to 25 days/year
