Role Summary

  • Manage Chessable MoveTrainerā„¢ content design and post-publication services.
  • Conduct textual revisions, proofreading, and beta-testing guidance.
  • Make editorial decisions and create engaging chess puzzles.
  • Correct grammar mistakes and localize content between English and French.
  • Work with PGN and CBV files and collaborate with authors to enhance courses.
  • Ensure quality assurance of PGN files.

Role Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and French, with Spanish or German as a plus.
  • Basic chess playing ability.
  • Active Chessable account usage is preferred.
  • Keen interest in contemporary chess culture.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere.

We have an exciting opportunity for a bilingual Content Editor to join our chess platform team. We are looking for someone proficient in editing content in both English and French.Ā 

Ā Responsibilities

  • You will work on the Chessable MoveTrainerTM content design and maintaining services post-publication
  • Textual revisionsĀ 
  • Proofreading
  • Beta-testing guidance
  • Make editorial decisions
  • Create chess puzzles
  • Correct grammar mistakes
  • Localize content from English to French and vice versa
  • Work with PGN and CBV filesĀ 
  • Work with authors and collaborate closely with them to improve their courses
  • Perform quality assurance over PGN files

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and French is mandatory. Knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.
  • Ability to play Chess (no requirement to be a strong player)
  • Having a Chessable account and using it on a regular basis is a plus
  • Active interest in chess and chess culture today is a plus
