Volunteer Secretary/Trustee

What will you be doing?

MYP are looking for a Secretary/trustee to be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of  meetings of the trustee board and any sub-committees, providing assistance and support to the chair of the board of trustees. They may also be closely involved in monitoring the requirements affecting the charity and its activities, and ensuring that the trustees’ decisions are acted upon, and that all decisions made by the trustees are in accordance with the governing document, reflect the objects of the charity, and continue to provide public benefit. They will need to be organised and methodical, able to work as a team and be committed to the charity values

What difference will you make?

As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to support young people between 18-30 years of age from under-represented groups by getting them trained and employed in the TV and Media Industry. This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for young people. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity. The role of Secretary is so important to us -  to ensure that trustee decisions are implemented in accordance with the charity’s governing document or other internal operational procedures.
