What will you be doing?

TDF is a donation-led service with the aim of making wellbeing therapies and treatments accessible and affordable to the people who need it most. We have a therapy centre based on site at RNOH Hospital Stanmore where we offer a wide range of self-care and wellbeing treatments such as massage, osteopathy, acupuncture, reflexology, psychotherapy and counselling.  We also work in the community with other charities and organisations to provide wellbeing support and have several partnerships including Northwick Park Hospital, on site here at the RNOH we support both the inpatients and long stay patients on wards and the staff with wellbeing programmes. We are looking for a volunteer with website development and design skills to come work on a refresh of our website. It is a project that could be undertaken remotely. There will be an occasional need for a meeting with us at our offices, both for us to initially find out about you and to monitor the progress of the project. We had in mind a volunteer from an established agency looking for a good cause to demonstrate their employer's community corporate social responsibility and outreach, or indeed someone independent, with talent and skill, who is looking for project to add to a portfolio of work or CV.  The role is unpaid volunteering and the hours spent on it/timescales negotiable given that people who have the appropriate skills may also have employment, college course etc demands that we are sensitive to. The selected candidate will work closely with several teams and update our CEO. Project Scope:

Ensure timely and accurate updates to the content on our website to align with our ongoing mission statement and 2024 range of complementary therapy  services. Collaborate with various team members to gather information and present it effectively on the website. Offer some reasonable creative input, regarding engaging visuals and basic multimedia elements, to enhance user experience

What are we looking for?

Experience -

evidence of some experience in a web specialist role. user and SEO experience communication skills and an ability to work both collaboratively and on one's own initiative. passion for supporting charitable causes

What difference will you make?

Like many charities, our organisation took a hit from the pandemic and we are gradually and successfully building back our client base to our pre-pandemic level of 800 clients regularly treated on site and a further 800 treated off-site at various external project locations such as Harrow Care Homes and Northwick Park Hospital.  We have recently renovated our offices and created a new treatment room to improve the impression to clients, staff and therapists and our bookings are beginning to increase. The confidence of our often vulnerable clients to return to face-2-face treatment after covid is well into 'green shoots territory'. A refresh of our website will help broaden and modernise our communication reach into the wider world and the volunteer will be able to to see the effect of their work on increasing the visibility of TDF and the upward effect it has on treating disabled people, NHS workers and carers in line with the vision and intentions behind the  NHS long term plan.
