What will you be doing?

If you are interested in helping make a difference for people with learning disabilities and would like to help us develop our organisation further, perhaps you could consider taking on this important and rewarding ongoing volunteering role within Bath Gateway Out & About. What is involved? As a Bid Writer and/or Fundraiser, you will be responsible for writing applications to various grant awarding bodies, including conducting research to find appropriate funds to apply for. We are happy if the Bid Writer / Fundraiser decides that they do not also wish to be a Trustee of the charity, however we would still expect you to attend occasional quarterly Committee meetings so that you can provide updates of your progress regarding your fundraising activities.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with aptitude for writing successful funding bids, who can understand the range of services we offer to our members with learning disabilities.  Ideally, the volunteer will be able to conduct research and provide advice on which grant funding organisations we should be approaching.

What difference will you make?

By helping to secure the financial future of our organisation, the volunteer will help ensure that our charity continues to flourish and can continue to support and provide fun , age appropriate activities for adults with learning disabilities in our local community.
