Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

We are currently a small board looking to set up a sustainable, local environmental charity and have already had a number of success stories including setting up the repair cafe, running some bird events for families (nest boxes and owl pellets). We are looking to set up projects including water testing in the river, what people can do in their gardens, educational articles and also launching our website. Position available because of a resignation due to lack of time to commit and also trying to grow the charity.

What are we looking for?

An enthusiasm for the environment would be useful but need a diverse board so no prior or detailed knowledge of the various projects needed as experts will be consulted. We do need trustees who have management skills and are prepared to manage/get involved with the strategy for the new charity, including set-up type challenges, the website and online communications including social media and articles, recruiting and managing volunteers and how they can and should assist with everything (including hopefully volunteers to help manage the volunteers for certain projects), considering future projects, etc. The charity does not have any employees and does not own its own land.
