What will you be doing?

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Grant Writer to join our team and help secure funding for our vital programs and services. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in researching funding opportunities, crafting compelling grant proposals, and managing grant applications from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission, exceptional writing abilities, and a proven track record of successful grant acquisition. Responsibilities:

Research funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other grant-making organisations that align with the mission and programs of The Rose & Daisy Foundation. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's programs, services, and financial needs. Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals, grant reports, letters of inquiry, and other communication materials tailored to the requirements and preferences of prospective funders. Collaborate with program staff and leadership to gather necessary information and data for grant applications. Manage the grant application process, including proposal submission, follow-up communications, and tracking/reporting requirements. Build and maintain positive relationships with funders and partners through effective communication and stewardship efforts. Stay informed about trends and developments in the grant-making field, including changes in regulations, funding priorities, and best practices. Assist in the development and execution of fundraising strategies to diversify revenue streams and achieve organisational goals. Support other development and communication efforts as needed, including donor cultivation, event planning, and marketing initiatives.

What are we looking for?

Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing or fundraising for charity organisations, with a proven track record of successful grant acquisition. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively in written proposals and communications. Strong research skills and attention to detail, with the ability to gather and synthesise information from various sources. Familiarity with grant databases, prospect research tools, and online resources for identifying funding opportunities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of The Rose & Daisy Foundation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
