Volunteer Trustee with experience in developing arts and community buildings and facilities

What will you be doing?

Crediton Heart Project wants to establish a large centre offering arts, drama, music and a range of community activities to add to the cultural offer of the town. Would you like to offer your expertise to support us to do this? We have engaged the range of local arts and community groups and local businesses in planning the facility, and are seeking a site. We will need to engage architects, widely consult with the town, with groups and authorities, raise finance, and develop a sustainable business strategy to enable a vibrant centre to thrive. Would you like to be a part of this offering expertise on the development of buildings and facilities for arts and the community?

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience in the establishment of buildings and facilities for arts and communities. This might be in the charity, public or private sector. You will preferably have a link to the town, maybe you live in the area. Maybe you will have some experience of running a charity, but that is not essential.

What difference will you make?

As part of the board, you will help us to create this exciting building - we will bring in nationally reknown architects, a range of creatives and engage the local authorities and community groups. It will enable a much larger range of activities and cultural events to be offered to the growing town. Your role will be to support the overall vision and shape the plan which will deliver the centre.
