What will you be doing?
LitdriveUK is a thriving charity providing professional development to English teachers and tutors in the United Kingdom. Our organisation is gorwing, with the appointment of a Managing Director in January 2024. We work remotely as a voluntary team, delivering regional and virtual professional development events, coordinating a mentoring programme and providing a space for members to share classroom materials of a continually high standard. You will be joining LitdriveUK at a very exciting time as the organisation continues to secure our position as a leading provider of subject-specific professional development. Entering our third year of charitable status, the organisation continues to grow at pace and your guidance and insight will help us to lead the direction of the organisation moving forward, taking into account all potential risks and how we might mitigate against these as a newly formed charity. Having just been formally recognised as an English subject association in the UK, we are keen to refine our operational infrastructure and secure financial stability as part of our strategic direction. We are looking for several trustees to join our board who are committed to the provision and delivery of professional development for the English teaching community. To enhance our Board and continue to develop our governance structure, these individuals will have two or more of the following attributes:
Have experience or be an active member of the English teaching community; Previous charity or school governance; Finance background; Data analysis and impact background; A background in risk management; Funding or bid writing experience; A background and rack record in strategic operations.
We welcome all candidates with these attributes and with some experience of working for small start-ups or charities who have undertaken rapid growth and change. #LI-Remote
