What will you be doing?
We're looking for someone who cares about this cause and who can help us increase our income to grow our services. Marketing/fundraising skills or experience of working in health and social care or commissioning would be a bonus but not essential. We'd also be pleased to welcome a trustee with personal knowledge of the South Asian communities whom we serve in Manchester. However, if you want to learn about being a trustee and charity governance, and you're committed to making a difference to older people in Manchester then please get in touch.
What are we looking for?
Our current trustees have a range of skills so this new recruit could add to any of the skills listed below and learn from the others. You need to be able to attend 4 in-person Trustee Board meetings each year and also attend charity events. Living in Manchester is also desirable
What difference will you make?
As a trustee you will help drive our strategy for growth whilst ensuring that the charity is well-run and delivering great services that meet the needs of Manchester citizens. We already have a great reputation locally and great relationships with our service users. They often refer to the "TDS family". We also have a motivated team of staff and much larger team of committed volunteers. We know that we can be the main commissioned service provider in Manchester. We want to innovate and respond to what our service users tell us they want. To fulfil these ambitions we need be well-run, bold and know how to increase income from individuals, corporate and grant funders.
