What is Sylvera anyway? Sylvera helps organisations make confident decisions in carbon and commodity markets. We independently assess the quality of carbon projects, track market pricing and supply signals, and provide geospatial and carbon intensity data — giving our clients the clarity they need to invest in real climate action. We're a team of 130+ scientists, engineers, and market experts based across London, New York, São Paulo, Singapore, and Tokyo. Our work spans market intelligence, geospatial analytics, multi-scale lidar research, and policy analysis. We partner with governments and policymakers to raise the bar for transparency and rigour across carbon markets. Backed by over $96 million from investors including Fidelity, Balderton Capital, Index Ventures, and Insight Partners, we're trusted by Fortune 500 companies, major financial institutions, and governments worldwide. If you care about climate, enjoy solving hard problems, and want to work with people who take the mission seriously — we'd love to hear from you.
The role: We're looking for a Product Designer to join our Product team, owning design across Sylvera's carbon markets product pillar and supporting our marketing team with brand and campaign work. The core of this role is product design. Sylvera's platform turns messy, uncertain carbon project data into something people can actually make decisions with. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you'll ship real work from week one. You'll work closely with our Lead Product Designer. As a team of two at a startup, we both own the Sylvera brand and support marketing when it counts. Product comes first, but when the marketing team needs design support, we deliver. AI-powered tools like Claude Code, Figma Make, and Lovable are standard parts of our workflow - not a nice-to-have.
Job requirements: Has 3+ years of product design experience covering both UX and UI. Has worked in B2B SaaS, ideally on data-heavy products (dashboards, analytics, trading platforms). Thinks about what data means and what action it should drive, not just how it looks on screen. Is strong in Figma and comfortable working within an established design system. Can handle marketing design work to a professional standard when needed: reports, banners, social assets. Uses AI tools in their everyday design workflow. Has strong visual craft - your work looks polished and intentional, not just functional. Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of the earth. Is a self-starter who thrives in constantly evolving environments, ideally with early-stage experience.
Benefits: Equity in a rapidly growing startup. Private Health Insurance and Life Assurance. Unlimited annual leave - and encouragement to actually use it! Enhanced parental leave. Up to 20 days paid sick leave. No corners cut in having the best tech to do your job. Access to Mental Health support. Monthly team socials.
