Volunteer Member of the Unit Management Team (UMT)

What will you be doing?

Since becoming Chair in 2020, I have transitioned the UMT to operate using digital facilities as much as practicable.  However, I am a semi-retired civil/structural engineer and my digital skills are a secondary skill set!  Although we would welcome anyone who would like to join our Management Team, we would really benefit from someone with an I.T. background to manage and develop this side of our operation.  Although much of the I.T. input could be undertaken remotely, volunteers would need to reside within about 10 miles of Exmouth in order to be able to attend our bi-monthly management team meetings and other UMT events.

What difference will you make?

The ability to be able to deal with our management responsibilities digitally makes life very much easier for our management team - or should do!  Although we feel that we have the basics set up, we are not entirely confident that this is currently as good as it could be, nor that we are doing things in the most efficient manner.  Our current team is very small - only 3 members plus the CO, and we are very stretched given the essential tasks that are necessary to properly run the cadet unit.
