What will you be doing?

We seek an organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Secretary. The Secretary's role at Actively SeeK.I.N.G. is instrumental in making a significant difference within the organisation. By diligently managing board meeting logistics, recording accurate minutes, and ensuring compliance with governance regulations, the Secretary enhances the overall efficiency and transparency of the organisation's decision-making processes. Their attention to detail and commitment to maintaining comprehensive records contribute to a well-documented history of discussions, resolutions, and actions, fostering accountability and informed decision-making. The Secretary's role as a central point of communication within the board ensures that information flows seamlessly, promoting effective collaboration among board members. Furthermore, by staying informed about governance regulations and collaborating with legal advisors, the Secretary plays a key part in safeguarding Actively SeeK.I.N.G.'s legal compliance. In essence, the Secretary's contributions elevate the organisation's governance practices, supporting its mission to empower young black men through the arts with a foundation of transparency, accountability, and efficient communication.

What are we looking for?

Proven experience as a secretary or in a similar administrative role. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping. Familiarity with governance regulations and compliance for CICs (preferred).
