What will you be doing?
We are looking for friendly, non-judgemental, sociable individuals to help organise and run activities for the people that we support in our services. Ideally you have experience in social care, are enthusiastic, patient, have a sense of humour, good communication skills and experience of life. We are looking for people who can support, teach and pass on skills and tailor activities to small groups or individual interests. We are always looking for suggestions and activities that are fun and will add enjoyment to a supported person’s life.
What are we looking for?
Experience gained from a social work, social care, teaching or counselling background Ability to encourage and motivate young people and work well them in a supportive way. Ability to relate to young people and to be able to see things from their point of view. Non-judgmental Patience and understanding. A friendly personality, good interpersonal skills, and a good listener A knowledge of some of the issues affecting care experienced young people. Have a positive outlook on life (ability to see positives in people) Can build effective relationships with our supported people and support them in a non-patronising and respectful way A genuine interest in and commitment to Blue Triangle’s work and the people we support Trustworthy and reliable
