What will you be doing?

We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of leadership at the highest level. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about supporting young people. To be successful you will need to share our vision of making the charity an outstanding organisation, and help lead the drive to achieve this. This is a voluntary position for three years, with the option of a three year extension subject to satisfactory performance. The Board currently meet a minimum of four times a year.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of setting and achieving strategic goals and strong motivational skills. They would also have professional qualifications or equivalent experience. To be successful, an individual would need to be confident with communications, including IT skills. It's desirable that they would have experience in youth work and/or the charity sector and, additionally, have some knowledge of safeguarding policy, legislation and good practice. Confidence in organisational financial management, budgets and associated policy/legislation is key.
