Volunteer Volunteer Retail Assistant – Online Marketplaces

What will you be doing?

We have a successful and growing online sales channel via eBay and DePop, where we sell a whole of range of items that are donated to Against Breast Cancer including new bras, clothes and gifts. These sales help us to raise valuable funds towards our cause.  Due to a big increase in the number of donations, we now have an exciting opportunity for an additional listing assistant to join our team, on a voluntary basis.  You will have some photography experience and understanding of lighting and optimising images. Training and ongoing support will be given, however familiarity with online selling channels would be an advantage.  You will work within a team responsible for retail and be encouraged to harness your skills and creativity to increase sales, streamline processes and discover new marketplace opportunities.  Typical tasks include: - 

Making decisions based on best practice as to which platforms to list items on 

Taking detailed photos of items to sell on eBay and Depop 

Creating accurate descriptions and titles for items 

Staging products professionally for photographing 

Cropping photos 

Uploading Photos to our specialised listing programmes 

Creating listings for eBay and Depop 

Working as a valued member of the team 

  Skills Required: 

Photography experience 

Photo editing software experience 

A keen eye for detail to enable continuous quality standards of items available for sale 

Good PC and Internet Skills 

Some experience of using eBay and/or DePop as a customer will be advantageous, and as a seller is desirable 

Flexible 

Ability to work in a team
