What will you be doing?
PCN is a Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose members are the trustees. Six trustees oversee six part-time staff members and five occasional workers. We are practising Christians, united in our passion to see 150 pregnancy centres open and thriving across the UK so that no woman or partner has to face unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss alone. We value diversity and are looking to maintain a Board which comprises members of differing age, gender, cultural background, and experience of the issues faced by centres, their staff, and their clients. Over the next five years we will be working towards five objectives, to ensure that we will be there for centres for many more years to come.
Grow our current support for existing centres: Further develop infrastructure to support future network growth: Create regular points of contact with centres. Research and implement a new data collection system to gather relevant and timely information from centres in an efficient way. Develop regional networks through employing a Centre Relationships Manager to oversee a team of regional leaders across the UK. Develop a ‘framework of excellence’ for centres. Generate greater financial stability: Consistent use of the fundraising strategy we have developed for the next five years. An increase in our regular donors year on year (both individuals and the centres we support). Increase the variety of ways in which we fundraise. Continue to develop and deliver core training courses: Open new centres: Create a speaker/ambassador team to deliver talks to raise awareness in churches and at events. Create a ‘Setting up a Centre’ process, along with regular checkpoints for new centres in the process of opening, and networks of ‘buddying’ system for new centres for the first 2 years they are open.

"Very easy to talk to, giving no personal judgement but a friendly and helpful response. Making me see the clearer picture. Thank you." Sophie*, a client “I work within the perinatal mental health team and also in the maternal mental health team. The centre is a service I will regularly refer women to as I know they will be offered a high standard of care, be treated with kindness and offered timely interventions. The staff at the centre are easy to contact and have case discussions with to clarify pathways. It is a fabulous service and our town and the surrounding area are very lucky to have such a valuable resource available to offer women and families who are in need of such specialist care.” (Mental Health Nurse)
