What will you be doing?
Trustees plays an enormous role in charities up and down the country, and host legal responsibility for the their charities management and administration. Trusteeships are unpaid, and those who take this role in Pride Action North will significantly contribute to the health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ people across the North. Being a Trustee of any charity can be demanding at times, particularly in using your skills, knowledge and abilities in decision making but is equally rewarding. We’re initially looking for individuals with a background and/or experience in legal or business development. However, if you have a background and/or experience you think we need then we’d encourage you to apply. This could include individuals with significant senior management experience, marketing, promotions and public relations and local regional and national policy. We plan on appointing at least two Trustees, however will appoint more if a candidate is suitability matched to the gaps identified by the board. You don’t need to have been a Trustee before, it’s more important that we have the right people who can spearhead our three-year strategy. Our strategy is designed to guide Pride Acton North towards being the leading champion in the North of England for the LGBTQIA+ community and Trustees that join us are key to making our vision a success. We have eight strategic priorities for the next 3 years which you can read in our strategy document. They embody our commitment to growth, inclusivity and positive change. LGBTQIA+ people need us more than ever and by refocusing power and resources, our strategic vision we will ensure that both the needs of rural and urban members of our community are met. With the collective efforts of our staff team and a strong Trustee board we Pride Action North will be determined, strong and thriving. #LI-Remote
